The Focus

Hey ya’ll  *waves*

This blog is about growing my blog: Glamazini.com as my business.

The Catalysts

There have been MANY but I’ll detail a few below.

First, I’ve been in therapy for the past 13 months.  This is not my 1st time visiting a trained professional counselor, but it is the most tangibly rewarding time of them all. My therapist is a true GODSEND and I am blessed beyond belief for the changes he has facilitated in my thinking.

Next, I have been devouring books lately, some on the suggestion of my therapist, others that I jot down along the way. Currently the combo of

  1. Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul and
  2. I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It

are working well with the place I am psychologically. Captivating has challenged my inherent belief that I have nothing of value to bring to the table. I Could Do Anything has amazing exercises. After completing the Time Management for People Who Want To Do Too Many Things exercise (along with previous work in therapy) I came to the realization that I can, and should focus on 1 thing for a specified period of time to grow my expertise and see what happens. This is not something I do well, hence this blog as an accountability tool.
Another catalyst has been the amazing network of bloggers and vloggers that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with. I have so many resources at my fingertips who are willing to help me, there is no reason for me to fail.

I’d love you to come along with me and share this journey.

Isaiah 50:7 Because the Sovereign LORD helps me,
I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.
